The short version (plain English)
Here's the gist. The full terms below are what legally applies, but this is what it means in normal words:
TitleVitals provides analytics and reporting for self-published authors, including catalog tracking, review monitoring, sales rank tracking, and related tools. The service relies on data from Amazon and other third parties; that data arrives on their schedules and subject to their availability. Numbers labeled as estimates are estimates.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for terms of no longer than twelve months and automatically renew at the end of each term at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. The renewal price and billing cadence are disclosed at purchase, and where required we send a renewal reminder. You may cancel at any time from the billing page in your account settings (subscriptions are managed by our payment processor; the billing page is the cancellation path); cancellation turns off auto-renewal and takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with access continuing until then. Charges are not prorated and, except where a refund is required by applicable law, are non-refundable, including for partial months or unused time. If TitleVitals discontinues the service, your refund is limited to the prepaid amount covering unused full months remaining in your term. If the core service is materially unavailable for seven or more days within a billing month, that month's charge will be waived or credited. Discount and promotional codes are single-use unless stated otherwise and carry no cash value. Plan upgrades take effect immediately: unused time already paid on your previous plan is credited toward the new plan's charges (prorated by our payment processor), any excess credit applies automatically to your following invoices, and subsequent renewals are billed at the new plan's full price. Switching between monthly and annual terms restarts the billing period on the day of the change. No refund is owed if your account is suspended or terminated for violating these terms.
Founding price guarantee. The founding monthly price of $11.99 is available to accounts that start a paid Pro subscription before January 1, 2027. If you begin your subscription at the founding price, that price is locked for the life of your subscription and will not increase for as long as you maintain it without interruption; you are grandfathered. For new subscriptions started on or after January 1, 2027, the standard price (currently $15.99 per month) applies. A lapse or cancellation of your subscription may forfeit the founding price, and re-subscribing afterward is at the then-current standard price.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. Your account is for your use alone. You may sign in from as many of your own devices as you like, but you must not share your password or account access with anyone else, and you must not allow others to use your account. Accounts showing signs of shared, resold, or otherwise unauthorized access may be suspended or terminated without refund. The TitleVitals browser extension reads pages within your own logged-in browser session; it never collects, stores, or transmits your Amazon password. You may export your data at any time using the built-in report tools.
Inactive accounts. To keep the service fast and our costs sane, free accounts that go unused have a light-touch lifecycle. If you don't sign in for a couple of months, we may pause the background refresh of your data until your next sign-in — when you come back, we simply refresh everything and put you back on the normal schedule. If a free account stays inactive for about six months, we may close it and email you to let you know; nothing is held hostage — you can sign up again for free at any time and reconnect your catalog. Paid plans are exempt from this — an active subscription keeps your account and data as long as the subscription is active, whether or not you sign in, and it's up to you to cancel if you no longer want it.
Certain TitleVitals features can perform actions on Amazon pages from your own signed-in browser session, but only when you request them through the app. These actions may include adding selected books to your Amazon author page and submitting selected editorial fields such as Description, From the Author, About the Author, Inside Flap, and Back Cover. You are responsible for reviewing the selected books, editions, languages, formats, and text before submitting. Amazon may review, reject, delay, modify, or remove submitted content under its own rules. TitleVitals provides logs, status tracking, warnings, and rollback tools, but we cannot guarantee Amazon acceptance or timing. Rollback tools restore previously captured editorial content where possible, but rollback depends on Amazon accepting and processing the replacement submission, which may take from hours to several days. Restoring a field to empty may not be possible through submission alone and may require contacting Amazon support.
You agree to use the service only for catalogs you own or have authorization to track. You may not, and may not permit others to: reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or internal workings of the service or the extension; access, call, or script the service's internal or undocumented endpoints, links, or APIs except through the interface as provided; scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute data obtained from the service; circumvent authentication, rate limits, plan limits, or access controls; or disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service or the third-party services it reads from. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with no refund (see Section 2).
TitleVitals lets you create and share promotional ("brag") cards for your books. You may share these cards freely, but you must keep the TitleVitals credit/attribution line and any required affiliate disclosure intact and unaltered. Removing, obscuring, cropping out, or misrepresenting the attribution, or presenting the cards as your own product, is a violation of these terms and may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
You may invite other authors using your personal referral link. When someone you invite creates a new account and successfully completes payment for their first month of Pro and remains a subscriber in good standing, you earn one free month of Pro, credited to your account; a credit may be reversed if that first payment is later refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed. There is no limit on how many authors you may refer — referral credits accumulate and apply to successive renewal invoices. Referral credits have no cash value, are not transferable, are not redeemable for cash, and may be forfeited for fraud or abuse. Credits apply only while you have an active paid Pro subscription — they reduce a future renewal invoice, are not an account balance, and are never refundable. You earn at most once per unique person you invite, and only on that person's first paid month; later re-subscriptions by the same person never re-pay you. The new-user trial perk is available once per person, ever; a closed-and-returned account is not eligible again. Limit one account per person and per Amazon (KDP) account — creating multiple accounts to farm credits is prohibited and voids any credits earned that way. You may not promote your referral link through unsolicited commercial email, automated messaging, or other spam. We may change or end the referral program in the future; credits you have already earned will still be honored. You are responsible for any taxes on credits you receive. Using a referral link, and signing up through one, constitutes acceptance of these terms by both the referring and the referred user.
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. TitleVitals is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TitleVitals' total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Some links on TitleVitals pages, including shared promotional cards and share links, are Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, a commission is earned from qualifying purchases. On the Free and Intro plans, buy links carry TitleVitals' own Amazon Associates tag, so TitleVitals earns the referral; this does not change the price you or your buyers pay, and it is separate from your KDP royalty, which is unaffected. Using your own Amazon Associates tag on your share links and cards is a Pro feature; when you supply your own tag, that referral is earned by you instead. The required affiliate disclosure appears on shared cards either way and must be kept intact (see Section 6).
These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and TitleVitals agree that the exclusive venue for any such dispute is the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. By creating an account or purchasing a paid plan, you affirmatively agree to these terms, including this governing-law and venue provision. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your place of residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement.
Controlling language. These terms are written in English, and the English version is the binding one. We publish translations in other languages for convenience only. If there is any conflict, ambiguity, or difference in meaning between the English version and a translation, the English version governs. The same applies to our Privacy Policy and to any other document we translate.
Pro AI plans include AI-assisted features such as editorial text editing and translation ("AI features"). AI features are provided as is and at your own risk. AI output can contain errors, awkward phrasing, or content that does not suit your needs; the quality of output depends heavily on the quality and amount of the material you provide. The AI edit feature works from material you supply or content already captured in your account; output quality depends on the source material available. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI output before publishing it anywhere, and for ensuring the published result complies with Amazon's (or any other platform's) content guidelines. TitleVitals does not guarantee that AI-assisted content will be accepted by Amazon's review process.
Metered use. AI features are metered (for example, a monthly allowance of AI edits and translation characters). An edit or translation is counted against your allowance when it is performed, whether or not you like, use, or agree with the result. Allowances reset monthly, do not roll over, and unused allowance has no cash value.
Recharge credits. You may be offered one-time recharge purchases that add additional usage credits. Recharge credits: (a) expire 90 days after purchase, with any unused balance forfeited on expiry; (b) are consumed only after your included monthly allowance is exhausted, oldest purchase first; (c) have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law (see Section 2); and (d) may change in price or composition for future purchases. Purchasing a recharge does not change your subscription tier or renewal price.
Your content. Material you submit to AI features remains yours, and the resulting output is yours to use. To generate output, your submitted material is processed by a third-party AI model provider on our behalf, under that provider's applicable service terms and data-processing settings, and is not used by TitleVitals for any other purpose.
Some features may be labeled preview. Preview features may change, break, disappear, produce incomplete data, or have limits while we test them. We may modify or discontinue preview features at any time.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
